Any thoughts on Doctor G?

The rockstar Ayushmann Khurrana is once again back in cinemas with his new release, Doctor G, in which he plays a character of a gynecologist. The movie also features Shefali Shah and Rakul Preet Singh as his fellow doctors.
As this movie has released yesterday, it opened on Friday at around ₹3.87 crores. Let me also mention that this one clashed with Parineeti Chopra-starrer Code Name Tiranga.
Talking about the movie, Ayushmann Khurrana’s Doctor G is about the life of a male gynecologist and the challenges that he encounters in his professional life. The film is a humorous take on social problems of the society, much like Vicky Donor which garnered rave reviews for its offbeat story.
The movie has been authenticated by the Censor Board and given an ‘A’ certificate which demands its watching by only 18+ moviegoers. The trailer of the film was recently released and garnered good reviews.
Moving forward, sharing the collections of the movie on the social platform Twitter, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, “Despite the low pre-release buzz, #DoctorG puts up a decent total on Day 1… National chains fare better, while mass pockets are extremely dull… Has scope for improvement on days 2 and 3… Needs that push for a respectable weekend total… Fri ₹ 3.87 cr. #India biz.”
The movie Doctor G is a campus comedy movie, a coming-of-age comedy-drama established in a medical college. Sheeba Chaddha even stars in the film. She plays Ayushmann’s mom. The film is directed by Anubhuti Kashyap and written by her in collaboration with Sumit Saxena, Saurabh Bharat, and Vishal Wagh.
