Draupadi Murmu is a tribal head and former Jharkhand Governor who has been elected as the 15th President of the country of India. The presidential election outcomes were declared on 21st July 2022.

With the results, Draupadi Murmu has become the second female President of India and the 1st tribal female President of India. The BJP appointed Draupadi Murmu as the National Democratic Alliance’s nominee for President of India for the 2022 election in June 2022. As part of her presidential drive for the year 2022, she visited different states to see backing for her candidature from BJP lawmakers and additional opposition groups.

As a part of a campaign, she has also visited not Eastern states the JMM of Jharkhand, BJD of Odisha, JDS of Karnataka, BSP of Uttar Pradesh, Shivsena of Maharashtra, and numerous other prominent opponent parties.

About her personal Life: Draupadi Murmu was born in a Santal tribal home on June 20, 1958, in Uparbeda village of the Mayurbhanj community in the state of Odisha. Both her father, Biranchi Narayan Tudu, and grandfather was elected as sarpanch underneath the Panchayati Raj system.

Draupadi Murmu married Shyam Charan Murmu. He was a banker, who passed in the year 2014. The duo had 2 sons, both of whom are dead, and a daughter. She has lost her husband, 2 sons, mother, and a brother in a duration of 7 years, from 2009 to 2015.

Study: Murmu is an arts graduate of Rama Devi Women’s College. She joined Odisha Irrigation Department as a junior assistant after serving as an assistant professor at Shri Aurobindo Integral Education and Research in Rairangpur.

Murmu united the Bharatiya Janata Party in the year 1997 and was elected as the councilor of the Rairangpur Nagar Panchayat. She became the Chairperson of Rairangpur Nagar Panchayat in the year 2000.
