The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi bonds everyone and brings peace and prosperity to all. On this auspicious day, there are prayers and worshipping for Lord Ganesha. May Lord Ganesha bring happiness to all our family and friends. This day is truly an immense joyful day for Hindus, as this festival brings happiness, joy, and wisdom to all people. The festival is a symbol of harmony and blessing from Lord Ganesh so that there is a spread of happiness and enthusiasm among all. Lord Ganesha is known for wisdom, fortune, and wealth and people worship for their good health and wealth. This festival holds great significance for Hinduism and is one of the biggest festivals in Indian Hindu religion.

Great significance of Lord Ganesha’s festival

The significance lies within the festival of worshipping the god Ganesha as he is called the remover of obstacles and savior of all with his blessings. He is said to be the god of intellect, wisdom, fortune, and much more to bring happiness to all the people around the world. Devotees used to say that at the beginning of any kind of task, the Lord Ganesha’s blessings are very important and make it successful. This festival of Lord Ganesha holds immense spiritual and cultural significance.

Immense Joy and Happiness around the celebrations

The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi brings great happiness and a time of festivity that creates a peaceful and prosperous environment. This festival marks its excitement all around the country, especially in Maharashtra. To celebrate, there is the bringing of idols of Lord Ganesha to homes and there is worshipping. During the puja ceremony, there are offerings of flowers, sweets, and Ganesh’s favorite Modak which is a must for the festival. In every place, there is an excitement and joyfulness that brings all to bond and celebrate the auspicious and beautiful event of Ganesh Chaturthi.

The festival ends with Visharjon during which after worshipping, idols are been immersed in water with heavy hearts and wishes for the next year. Huge processions and crowds occurred for taking blessings and do the visharjon for the festival on the last day. People chant “Ganapati Bappa Mourya, Purchya Varshi Laukarya”. Many people used to take fast during the puja and wish to God.

Modak is most favourite of Lord Ganesha

Modak is especially offered during the day firstly as it is the most favorite and beloved sweet item of Lord Ganesh. Prepared in different forms with most being fried or in the form of steam. The outer shell is made up of wheat or rice flour and the inner filling is made up of coconut and jaggery with some spices. Modak also has a unique meaning and significance to the festival as the outer filling of this item determines the intellect and the inner sweet filling resembles the sweet devotion that devotees used to offer to God.

On this day, there is the worship of Lord Ganesha which signifies the prosperity and happiness of Hinduism and there is the spread of God’s blessing that can solve every problem. The festival is welcomed based on the Hindu calendar and is very popular in India.
