Inauguration of Industrial Decarbonization Summit 2022
Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, has stressed preserving equilibrium between ecology, environment, and consequence. With inaugurating the ‘Industrial Decarbonization Summit 2022’ (IDS-2022), Road Map for Carbon Neutrality by the year 2070, the Minister said about overwhelmed power shortage, and it is crucial to generate alternative fuels. He said that an eccentric one-sided course on these issues is not healthy for the country.
According to him, the government’s emphasis is on green hydrogen. Gadkari expressed that in the coming days, the govt. has to maintain the economy and at the same time preserve the environment. He said that our priority is green hydrogen, by utilising Biotechnology we can boost the productivity of Biomass and by employing Biomass we can produce Bio-ethanol, Bio-LNG, and Bio-CNG. He further expressed that pollution will decrease by the use of methanol and ethanol.
Also, the Minister said that a concentrated road map must be made and good research must be done so that we consolidate our imports and increase exports.
Industrial Decarbonization Summit- The Industrial Decarbonization Summit was inaugurated and organised on the day of June 16 at Le’ Meridien Hotel in the state of New Delhi. It concentrated on a variety of research topics communed to decarbonization, sustainability, Policy issues, Climate Change involving their management, etc.
During this summit, researchers, academia, policymakers, business, industries, concerned government departments, etc. will understand at large from each other and specify best practices and profitable technologies. Results of this summit will enable organizers in developing roadmaps on how ingenious technologies can donate towards Decarbonization, and thus lead to energy change for clean energy.
In my opinion, it is a very good step taken by the administration.
