Kamala Harris’s defense advisor: Shanti Sethi
Shanti Sethi who is a trailblazing Indian-American Navy veteran has now joined US Vice-President Kamala Harris as her executive secretary and also defense adviser, as per the media report.
Ms. Sethi is the 1st Indian-American commander of a major US Navy combat ship and currently joined Vice President Harris.
Discussing her, Sethi is an Indian-American Naval officer, who joined the US Navy in the year 1993 when the combat exclusion law was still in effect. The law was lifted while she was an officer. She is the only Indian-American female and the 15th woman officer to work in a major US Navy combat warship.
She further commended the USS Decatur, the guided-missile destroyer from the duration of 15 December 2010 to May 2012.
In addition, she served as the US Navy’s Senior Military Advisor to the Secretary of the Navy from 2021-to 2022. And also promoted to the rank of captain in the year 2015.
Talking about her education, she graduated from the University of Norwich with a degree in International Affairs in the year 1993.
And, the most interesting thing is that the US Vice President Kamala Harris is herself the daughter of an Indian immigrant from the city of Chennai. She had made history by becoming the 1st-ever female Vice President of the US. The 57-year-lady is also the 1st person of Indian origin to be operated as the vice-president of the United States.
