The latest brand of forest products has been launched from Nilambur. The minor forest produces harvested by tribe people of Nilambur, such as honey, will now appear in the market under the Adavi brand. The Jan Shikshan Sansthan and National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development have collectively initiated the Adavi brand at a festival that took place at Nilambur. Also, an exhibition called Disha was functioned by NABARD and JSS while the tribal festival.

Talking about the festival, it attracted many tribespeoples, involving their Moopans. At the function, tribe chiefs or we can say the Moopans were felicitated.

In the starting phase, the Adavi company will promote wild asparagus, pure wild honey, or Shatavari, and several pickles of tender mangoes and gooseberries.

The products of this brand will be dealt with by the Gotramruth Society, which was initiated by Nilambur tribespeople. Under this latest scheme, wider and better markets have been made, particularly the foreign markets, for making a name for the Adavi products. A.P. Anil Kumar, the MLA, has launched the logo of Adavi.

Jan Shikshan Sansthan- The JSS Scheme, previously called Shramik Vidyapeeth has been initiated in the country India by non-governmental organisations since the year 1967. And, in July 2018, it was transmitted to the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship from the Ministry of Education. The JSS conveys vocational skill training at the beneficiaries’ doorstep with only a few infrastructure and costs. JSS not only delivers vocational training skills but also five life skills that can assist the beneficiaries in regular life.

I think these all are very good steps taken by our government. We should appreciate it!
