MediaTek is all set to launch 4nm SoCs!
With the growing increase in the demand for more and more powerful smartphones and smartphones with power and efficiency and speed, all the brands are gearing up to offer the most. Recently, we have had brands launch from 7nm chipsets to 5nm chipsets where we expected a lot more in terms of the performance. Now MediaTek is all set to launch 4nm chipsets into the segment.
The largest contract manufacturer TSMC plans in the third quarter of this year to start test production of processors based on the 4-nm process technology. It is quite predictable that the new chips will be able to boast of increased performance and reduced power consumption.
The Taiwanese chipmaker intends to present a flagship processor, created using 4-nanometer technology, in the first half of next year. And this chip will be produced by TSMC. We already know that among those who are not averse to buying a batch of these chipsets are Vivo, Oppo and Xiaomi. The new chip runs the ARM v9 architecture; and will include the latest Cortex-X2 and Cortex-A510 cores. Presumably, the graphics accelerator Mali-G710, which became the successor to the Mali-G78, will be responsible for graphics processing. If these predictions ultimately come true, then next year MediaTek may roll out a true flagship processor that can compete with the Snapdragon 895 (presumably the name of the new top-end chip from Qualcomm).
Before this MediaTek launched 6nm chipset namely, MediaTek Dimensity 1100, MediaTek Dimesnity 1200, MediaTek Dimensity 900. So now the change with the 4nm chipsets would be amazing in terms of renewed and faster speed with faster and much more efficient technology. I think this will be something really interesting to see and to see it unfold.
