MediaTek unveiled its latest gaming chipset for budget smartphones. All you need to know about Helio G25!
With the ever-increasing demand for budget gaming smartphones, MediaTek has delivered the same with its two new gaming chipsets; Helio G35 and Helio G25. MediaTek launched these chipsets on 30th June 2020, and during that also said, and I quote “The new chipsets always keep you connected and deliver the lowest latency gaming experience. They also offer enhanced imaging features, making fit for photography enthusiasts and gamers alike”.
Both the chipsets are come with MediaTek HyperEngine game technology that makes them smoother, faster, as well as enhances their power efficiency and provides excellent graphics. All of the things that are necessary to experience a good gaming session as well as while undertaking other tasks. These chipsets are carefully engineered for budget segment smartphones and are built for mainstream gaming smartphones.
Moving on, let’s look at the specifications of the MediaTek Helio G25 chipset in particular.
The Helio G25 has 64-bit CPU configuration with a maximum frequency of 2.0GHz. The IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU supports a maximum display resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The Helio G25 has a speed of 650MHz. It supports both LPDDR3 and LPDDR4x RAM up to 6GB and up to 1600MHz. The MediaTek Helio G25 chipset in equipped with the HyperEngine Technology as mentioned before, which enables the smartphone to deliver gaming performance without any latency.
The Helio G25 brings optimal power efficiency due to advanced 12nm FinFET fabrication process which when combined with MediaTek’s HyperEngine Technology’s intelligent power management, ensure long battery-life and power efficiency even during long gaming sessions without any latency.
the Helio G25 flaunts a 13-megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel sensor or a single 21-megapixel sensor, both up to 30fps. Further, it also features Single-Cam/Dual-Cam Bokeh, AI Beautification, Hardware Warping Engine, AI Smart Photo Album, Multi-Frame, Noise Reduction and so on and so forth. With the MediaTek TAS 2.0 smart antenna technology in them provides the best connection with low power consumption, which makes gaming simpler without any unwanted network issues. For connectivity, this budget gaming chipset includes dual-4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 5 b/g/n/ac, Glonass+ Galileo + Beidou, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS and FM Radio support as well.
According to claims, this chipset should be hitting the shelves of the Indian markets pretty soon, in the coming months. Through leaks and renders we know that Redmi 9A is powered by the Helio G25 processor. And the same was unveiled on 30th June 2020.
