Motorola’s newest addition: Moto G8 Lite

Motorola has launched its newest smartphone; Moto G8 Lite on the 3rd April 2020. The phone comes with a 6.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels at a density of 269 pixels per inch PPI with an aspect ratio of 20:9. All of these, in just the starting price of Rs. 13,990. Motorola Moto G8 Power Lite is powered by a 2.3GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 (MT6765) processor with 4GB of RAM. For storage, there is 64GB memory on-board that can also be expanded further up to 256GB via MicroSD card. The Motorola Moto G8 Power Lite runs Android 9 out of the box and is powered by a 5000mAh non-removable battery. The smartphone flaunts a fingerprint sensor at the back.

The MediaTek Helio P35 is a mainstream ARM SoC for smartphones that integrates eight ARM Cortex-A53 cores in two clusters. The four performance cores clock up to 2.3 GHz. Helio P35 creates advanced dual-camera smartphones, AI-enhancements, and rich connectivity that it comes with. MediaTek developed the P35 chip with Power VR GE8320 graphics processor, which enables power-efficient and flexible solution for all forms of multimedia processing including 3D and 2D graphics rendering. Coming to the optics of the smartphone, the Motorola Moto G8 Lite sports a 16-megapixel primary camera with an f/2.2 aperture, a second 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture and a third 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera setup also flaunts autofocus. It sports an 8-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and the video calls, with an f/2.0 aperture. For the selfie snapper, it uses a water-drop style notch instead of a punch hole like in the previous models. Motorola Moto G8 Power Lite is based on Android 9 and packs 64GB of inbuilt storage.

It also offers the option of expanding the storage via a MicroSD card up to 256GB with a dedicated slot. The Motorola Moto G8 Power Lite is a dual-SIM smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. Along with these, the connectivity options on the Motorola Moto G8 Power Lite include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth v4.20, and Micro-USB. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, fingerprint sensor, and proximity sensor. The Motorola Moto G8 Power Lite measures 164.94 x 75.76 x 9.20mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 2,000 grams. There are two color variants available for the Motorola Moto G8 Power Lite: Royal Blue and Arctic Blue colors.
