Oppo has announced the all new Oppo A11k, a new budget smartphone, who’s price is capped at Rs.8,990. Oppo had released its mid-range Oppo A12 earlier this year and now the Oppo A11k is a new addition to the A-series, and the major difference between both the recent smartphones is that the new Oppo A11k is placed in the budget segment. The new phone is a slight watered-down version of the Oppo A11.

Let’s move directly to the processor that is powering this new budget smartphone.

Oppo A11k is powered by the extremely power efficient and reliable MediaTek Helio P35. It is an octa-core (4 x 2.35GHz Cortex-A53 & 4 x 1.8GHz Cortex-A53) chipset that is built on TSMC’S advanced 12nm FinFET node featuring 4 cores clocked at 2.3GHz and 4 cores clocked at 1.8GHz along with 3GB of RAM. This enables a faster performance and a longer battery life of the smartphone which basically are two of the most important aspects of a good smartphone these days. We all know the importance of a good battery life and fast performance of a device we own.

MediaTek’s Helio P35 chipset supports LPDDR3 and LPDDR4x RAM (4GB and 6GB). It also supports dual 13MP cameras or a single 25MP camera along with a hardware depth engine for professional level bokeh images, Rolling Shutter Compensation (RSC) and Electronic Image Stabilization. The smartphone also offers preloaded GMS (Google Mobile Services). Honor 8A Prime runs Android 9.0 Pie and is powered by 3020mAh non-removable battery. Granted, that the battery of Honor 8A Prime isn’t massive, however, it is just enough for a normal usage of a consumer without having to look for a charging point every now and then.

Oppo A11k comes with a 6.22-inch display supporting HD+ (1520 X 720p) resolution and eye-protection. The display covers 89% of the front panel and flaunts a water-drop notch at the top that houses the selfie camera. For the extra protection, there is Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the display. The camera on the front is a 5MP selfie shooter. The smartphone boots Android 9.0 Pie out of the box alongside ColorOS 6.1. There is also a fingerprint sensor on the rear.

The rear camera setup includes a 13-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. As already mentioned before, on the front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie shooter for those amazing selfies and video calls. The Oppo A11k has an integrated non-removable Li-Po 4,230mAh battery with no fast charging support.

Connectivity possibility includes Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, and also 4G VoLTE help. A few of the other sensors included are accelerometer, gyro, proximity sensor, compass and rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. There will be two color variants for the Oppo A11k; Deep Blue and Flowing Silver.
