Umidigi S5 Pro is the new phone from Umidigi. It is a stylish phone and one of the first things that will catch your eye is the pop-up front camera that replaces the punch hole. It flaunts a 6.39-inch display with a 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution. It showcases a 93.1% screen-to-body ratio. The AMOLED screen is endowed with FullHD resolution, in terms of brightness and contrasts it meets all the requirements of the flagship category.

One of the best appreciated addition to this phone is the integrated MediaTek Helio G90T gaming chipset with 6GB of RAM. The MediaTek Helio G90T chipset is an octa-core (2 x A76 2.05GHz large core, 6 x A55 2.0GHz) and with Mali-G76 GPU. This is the same chipset that we got see in Redmi Note 8 Pro. Now there have been reviews where there is a mention of overheating. Honestly, that is all baseless. Heating of a smartphone is a natural phenomenon and every phone would heat up a little upon heavy using. Even then Umidigi S5 Pro has a liquid cooling included to keep the heat as low as possible. With this phone, games like PUBG, Asphalt, Call of Duty etc is supported with full efficiency and speed.

The phone comes with 6GB RAM, LPDDR4x dual channel, 256GB ROM internal storage, UFS 2.1 technology. There are two color variants available for this particular smartphone; Ocean Blue and Cosmic Black. The dimensions of the phone comes up to be 156.2 x 75.7 x 9.6mm and weighs about 2020g.

Coming to the optics of the phone, it houses a quad-camera at the back. There is a 48-megapixel primary camera with PDAF and f/1.8 aperture by Sony IMX586 sensor. There is also a 16-megapixel wide-angle lens and two other 5-megapixel lenses. The phone also flaunts a dual-LED flash at the back. The rear camera video features 4K, 1080p, 480p video recording, 30fps. A single 16-megapixel camera is used at the pop-up front camera with f/2.0 aperture, with many other features such as AI Beauty, Selfies countdown, Face recognition.

Umidigi S5 Pro comes with a Li-Po 4680mAh non removable battery with the support of 18W fast charging. The charging port comes with Type C. The phone comes with Google Stock Android 10. Along with these, the phone also supports dual Nano-SIM, with the global 4G LTE network, NFC support and the accessibility of a separate headphone output.

A few of the sensors included on the phone are; Proximity Sensor, Ambient Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Electric Compass, In-screen Fingerprint Sensor.

This is a review of the Umidigi S5 Pro, although I would like to know your thoughts on it too.
