Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has rather silently launched a new budget offering — the Redmi 9 Activ in India. This phone looks similar to the original Redmi 9 which was released last year. Redmi 9 activ smartphones come in a new variety of colours and the top variant of the phone has 6 GB RAM.

This device is powered by an octa-core Mediatek Helio G35 chipset that offers good speed. The storage capacity of this device can be expanded by using MicroSD.

The newly launched Redmi 9 Activ smartphone from Xiaomi is powered by an octa-core Mediatek Helio G35 processor that is based on Android MIUI 12, along with LPDDR4X RAM. This device has a 6.53 inches HD+ display with a resolution of 720*1620 pixels, 400 nits of brightness peak and a 20:9 aspect ratio.

The camera at the back features a 13 megapixels primary sensor and a 2 megapixel depth sensor for support. The camera supports AI scene detection, AI Beautify 5.0 and is paired with a LED single tone flash light. Redmi 9 Activ has a camera of 5 megapixels at the front.

In terms of connectivity, the Redmi 9 Activ comes with an IR blaster, a USB type-C port, dual-SIM connectivity, a microSD card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Redmi 9 activ offers a good battery life with a capacity of 5000mAh and supports 10W charging facility. This device measures 164.9x77.07x9.0mm and weighs 194 grams.
