Redmi Note 9 smartphone is one of the recently launched smartphone by Redmi on 30th April 2020. The phone comes with a 6.53-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:5:9. The new Redmi Note 9 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 processor. MediaTek Helio G85 is also going to make its debut along with the debut of Redmi Note 9. Before we start off with the specifications of the phone, let me shed some light on the processor of the same first.

MediaTek Helio G85 chipset is a brand-new chipset that comes three months after the Helio G80 that was announced with the Realme 6i. The Helio G85 is a 12nm chipset with 2x Cortex-A72 cluster clocked at 2.0GHz plus another 6x Cortex-A55. The biggest change that has come with the new Helio G85 is that even though it is still Mali G52 MC2, however, the clock speed is set at 1000MHz. It also comes with MediaTek’s HyperEngine, which ensures the best power-efficient and reliable performance this chipset can deliver during gaming.

The Redmi Note 9 runs Android 10 and is powered by a massive 5020mAh battery which is very generous. It also supports propriety fast charging. The Redmi Note 9 runs MIUI 11 based on Android 10 and packs 64GB of inbuilt storage. There is also the option of expanding the memory up to 128GB via a MicroSD card with a dedicated slot. The Redmi Note 9 is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. The phone measures up to 162.30(height) x 77.20 (width) x 8.90mm (thickness).

There are three color variants available for the new Redmi Note 9- Midnight Grey, Polar White and Forest Green. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB Type-C. Sensors included are accelerometer, magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, face unlock and fingerprint sensor.

As far as the optics of the smartphone are concerned, the Redmi Note 9 come with a 48-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.79 aperture; a second 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture; a third 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture and a fourth 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture on the rear. The rear camera also has autofocus. On the front of the camera, there is a 13-megapixel camera for those amazing selfies and video calls.

There is a great deal of excitement as well as anticipation attached with the Redmi Note 9. As far as the features and specifications are taken into consideration, personally I think it is going to deliver and meet with the expectations seamlessly and effectively.
