Tecno Spark 8T: An Upgrade from Tecno Spark 7T?
Tecno has been known to offer quite powerful and especially affordable smartphones currently and once the brand launched a new phone, it is quite obvious to compare it with what the brand launched before and in this case, the Tecno Spark 8T does seem like the successor of the Tecno Spark 7T.
Tecno has announced the Tecno Spark 8T smartphone in India. The Spark 8T is the successor of the Spark 7T which was announced back in June in the country. Before we start with the comparison between both these smartphones mentioned above, let’s take a quick look into the features of the phone.
The Tecno Spark 8T is powered by the MediaTek Helio G35 SoC which is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage that can be expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot. Upfront, the phone has a 6.6-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2408 pixels) display with a 91.3 percent screen-to-body ratio and 500 nits peak brightness. There is a waterdrop notch at the front to house the selfie camera sensor.
At the rear, the phone offers a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.6 aperture and an AI lens which is paired with a quad-LED flash. The rear camera features include AI Beauty, AI Portrait, Time-lapse, Slow Motion, Video Bokeh, and many more.
Tecno Spark 8T packs a 5,000 mAh battery which comes with ultrapower-saving mode. The phone is claimed to offer up to 38 days standby time, and up to 40 hours of calling time.
Coming to why I think the Tecno Spark 8T is a better phone than the Spark 7T. To begin with, the Spark 8T has a completely different design than the Spark 7T. Although both the phones share similarities when it comes to the aspects of the MediaTek processor used and also the storage variant is similar. One does get better camera features and a large FHD+ display on the Tecno Spark 8T.
One aspect where the Tecno Spark 7T takes the win is the battery. Tecno Spark 7T was announced with a massive 6,000 mAh battery, while the new model packs a 5,000 mAh battery. Also, the Spark 7T has 48MP dual rear cameras and an 8MP front-facing camera sensor.
Which one do you think is the better option between the Tecno Spark 8T and the Tecno Spark 7T?
