The first phone with the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 launched in India- Realme X7 Max 5G
The price of the Realme X7 Max 5G in India starts at Rs. 26,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. There is also a 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option that is priced at Rs. 29,999. It will also be a part of the company’s ‘Real Upgrade Programme’ under which customers will be able to get the phone for a year at 70 percent of its price and get a chance to upgrade to a new smartphone next year. At its given price, the Realme X7 Max 5G will compete against the likes of the OnePlus Nord and Xiaomi’s Mi 11X.
In terms of specifications, the Realme X7 Max 5G packs a 4,500mAh battery that supports 50W SuperDart fast charging. It is bundled with a 65W charger. This is also the first phone with the Mediatek Dimensity 1200 to be launched in India so that’s exciting. MediaTek has opted for a triple-level CPU arrangement with the Dimensity 1200, featuring one Cortex-A78 CPU clocked at 3Ghz, three Cortex-A78 CPUs at 2.6GHz, and four Cortex-A55 CPUs at 2GHz.
Dimensity 1200 consists of ARM Cortex-A78 ulta core, having the capability of clocking a speed of up to 3GHz with 2X L2 cache. The chipset also has four ARM Cortex-A55 efficiency cores with a speed of up to 2GHz, and three ARM Cortex-A78 super cores clocking up to 2.6GHz. For graphics, the Dimensity 1200 SoC makes use of ARM Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. It also supports UFS 3.1 storage, along with a maximum of 16GB LDDR4x memory. It is also integrated with the MediaTek HyperEngine 3.0 gaming technology.
Along with that, it runs on Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0 on top and features a 6.43-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,400 pixels) Super AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 360Hz touch sampling rate.
There is a triple rear camera setup that houses a 64-megapixel primary Sony IMX682 sensor with an f/1.8 lens, along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. For selfies and video chats, the Realme X7 Max 5G offers a 16-megapixel selfie camera sensor at the front with an f/2.5 lens.
Based on the set of features and the specs, I would say Realme has done a great job here in terms of the features as well as in terms of pricing the phone well.
