The trend of remakes have been soaring high for a while now and almost every movie that is considered as evergreen has been brought back in the form of a remake. The most recent remake of a much loved movie was Coolie №1 and to say that I was just disappointed and not at all humored would be an understatement. And there have been so many cringe moments in the entire movie that I watched the movie in three installments and I still couldn’t finish it to be honest. Anyhow, if there’s anyone waiting for a few more remakes to watch, here is a list of remakes that are scheduled to be released in 2021.

Badhaai Do

It is the second installment in the Badhaai Ho franchise. The 2018 comedy-drama film starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra received an overwhelming response at the box-office. With its unprecedented story plot and awesome characters, the film concentrated on the prohibition of a middle-aged couple who get pregnant bringing despondency to the other members of the family.

The sequel has Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar as lead actors. The film directed by Harshvardhan Kulkarni will show Rajkummar playing the only male officer in a Mahila thana in Delhi. Bhumi will reportedly essay the role of a PT teacher whose dream is to play handball at a national level. The makers guarantee this movie to be as bizarre as the initial one.

Hungama 2

This movie is the second installment of Priyadarshan’s 2003 comedy hit Hungama. When it comes to comedy, Priyadarshan is one of the renowned directors whom we always look forward to. Actors Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Paresh Rawal, Meezaan Jaffrey, and Pranitha Subhash come together in the new film.

BhoolBhulaiyaa 2

Priyadarshan is all set to release the sequel to the movie in 2021. The new film will have a fresh cast led by Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani, and Tabu. It will reportedly include two songs from the original film. Let’s hope the movie stands up to our expectations.

Dostana 2

Dostana is a 2008 romantic comedy directed by TarunMansukhani and produced by Karan Johar and Hiroo Yash Johar. The film stars Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham, and Priyanka Chopra, with Bobby Deol, KirronKher, Sushmita Mukherjee, and Boman Irani in supporting roles.

Go Goa Gone 2

Go Goa Gone is a 2013 zombie apocalypse action-comedy film directed by Raj and D.K. The film featuring Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Khemu, Vir Das, Puja Gupta, and Anand Tiwari, ended up showing the successful escape of all the protagonists, from the zombified island who discover Goa being in the same mess as the island at last.

Which one are you planning on watching? (If any)
