Vivo Y01: A Pocket-friendly Smartphone

The brand, Vivo has launched a new Y-series device in India. It has unveiled the Vivo Y01 smartphone, which is an entry-level offering. The Vivo Y01 is a newly-launched smartphone that comes under Rs 10,000 in India. And, it comes in 2 colour options and a single variant configuration. Let us discuss this Vivo Y01 smartphone in detail!

The Y01 by Vivo has a 6.51-inches IPS LCD with an HD plus resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The smartphone further has a waterdrop notch at the top for the selfie camera. There are also thin bezels around the display, except for the thick chin. The Vivo Y01’s display features a standard 60Hz refresh support as it is an entry-level smartphone.

Under the panel, there is an Helio P35 processor by MediaTek. The processor comes paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Talking about the chipset, it uses an octa-core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU with a high frequency of around 2.3GHz and an IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU with a max frequency of 680MHz.

This chipset is very well-known for rendering great performance to all the components and elements. This is a great addition.

The Y01 by Vivo boots Android 11 Go Edition which is based Funtouch OS 11.1 out of the box. As expected from this budget-segment smartphone, there is support for storage enhancement via a microSD card. Its users can increase the storage up to 1TB via a microSD.

Discussing the camera features, the Vivo Y01 has one 8-megapixel back camera with an f/2.0 notch. About the front, it houses a 5-mp lens on the front which has an f/2.2. Further, the back offers various features such as Face Beauty, time-lapse, slow-mo, etc.

Coming to the battery backup, this device comes with a big 5,000mAh battery backup with 10W rapid charging sustenance.
