Vivo Y20 launched as a mid-range smartphone with the price capped at Rs.14,999!
Vivo launched the Y30 on 9th May 2020. The phone comes with an impressive set of features with a 6.47-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720x1560 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:5:9. The new smartphone is powered by a powerful MediaTek Helio 35 processor with 8GB of RAM. It runs Android 10 and is powered by a massive 5000mAh non-removable battery.
The Vivo Y30 runs Funtouch OS based Android 10 and comes packed with 128GB of inbuilt storage. The Vivo Y30 is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that supports Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. As far as the dimensions of the phone is concerned, it measures 162.04 x 76.46 x 9.11mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 197.00 grams.
There are two color variants available for the Vivo Y30 smartphone; Dazzle Blue and Moonlight White. Moving on to the optics of the phone, it flaunts a 13-megapixel primary camera with an f/2.2 aperture+ 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture + 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture + 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera setup has autofocus support as well. On the front, it flaunts an 8-megapixel camera for those amazing selfies and video calls.
Connectivity options that are included on the Vivo Y30 include Wi-Fi b/g/n, GPS, USB OTG, Bluetooth v5.00, FM radio, 3G and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks). A few of the sensors included on the Vivo Y30 are; Ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, and fingerprint sensor. The Vivo Y30 supports face unlock as well. The price of the Vivo Y30 in India is capped at Rs.14,990 and I think it has the potential to be solid mid-range choice of smartphone for consumers looking for a powerful device without having to make any compromises on any of the important aspects of it.
Overall, the features and the specifications of the phone are pretty reliable however, Vivo Y30 would face a lot of competition for phones like Realme Narzo 10 that comes with a MediaTek Helio G80 chipset and a powerful and better camera section as well. Having the same storage specification, Narzo 10 instead costs almost Rs.3000 lesser than the asking price of Vivo Y20. And, that is certainly a point of worry for Vivo. Anyhow, irrespective of the competition, I still think that Vivo Y20 has the potential to be solid mod-range smartphone for consumers.
